In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Spotless, spacious rooms — Guests repeatedly mention clean and large rooms, with modern bathrooms and comfortable beds.
  • Excellent location for trains and sights — A short walk to the Eurostar station, the Grand Place, and the city's main restaurants – easy to explore on foot.
  • Friendly and helpful staff — From check-in to breakfast, the team is described as courteous and quick to resolve issues.
  • Good breakfast with options — Breakfast is praised as lovely and excellent, with a children's buffet available.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Price point is high — Rates start from £429 per night, which is steep for a 4-star city hotel, though the location and quality may justify it.
  • Dining gets lower marks — The dining category scores 7/10, the lowest of all rating areas, so expectations for the restaurant or bar should be tempered.
  • Check-in window is limited — Check-in runs from 15:00 to 23:59, so late arrivals after midnight will need to plan ahead.
  • Street noise possible at the front — While back-facing rooms are very quiet, the front of the hotel faces Avenue Stalingrad, a busy street.

“The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly, and the location is very handy. My room was cleaned every day and was warm, with adjustable radiators, plus a kettle, cups, tea and coffee. The staff were always ready to help with anything. Check-in is from 3pm, but if a room is free you can get in earlier. Payment was handled on the spot – the prepayment was taken, and the rest was charged at checkout. I'd read online that some people had been charged twice, but in my case everything went as it should. Just ask in advance. Thanks to the hotel team and to all travellers who share their experiences.”

“Clean property with lovely staff from check-in to breakfast and general service. The room was perfect and surprisingly spacious, with a full-size bath, a comfortable bed, and smoke detectors for safety.”

8.1Verified guest

“Nice room with comfortable beds and a good breakfast. The radiator and towel dryer in the room were powerful. A nice touch – shampoo, shower gel and L'Occitane soap. There's a mini market and a fruit shop right in front of the hotel. The staff are very responsive: when there was an issue with the safe, it was sorted quickly, though it took a second attempt. A lovely Christmas tree in the lobby added to the festive mood.”

“The room was large and, given the location, unexpectedly clean. The bathroom was modern.”
